Port Huron Prowlers News Release
On the strength of a power play goal by Josh Colten the Port Huron Prowlers were able to seal a 3-2 victory over the Danville Dashers at the David S. Palmer arena.
The scoring got started early in the first with Austin Daae putting one past Aaron Taylor to make it 1-0 Port Huron. Ahmed Mahfouz would make the score 2-1 before the end of the first with a pair of goals.
In a wild second period that saw Brandon Parkhouse of the Prowlers leave the ice for an apparent injury and not return, Dalton Jay split three Dasher defenders to put the puck past Taylor to make the score 2-2 at the end of the 2nd.
The third period was all Prowlers as their defense dominated the slot not allowing the Dashers any real estate in front of their net minder. And with a 5-3 advantage a high point slap shot won the Prowlers the game for a second straight night 3-2.
Danville will play again tomorrow evening at home against the Carolina Thunderbirds at 5:00 pm CST. Port Huron will be back in action on Friday March 2nd also against Carolina.
