
Prospects Prepare for 2014 NHL Entry Draft

PHILADELPHIA, PA -Draft eligible prospects are preparing for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft this weekend in Philadelphia. The Florida Panthers will pick first overall on Friday night followed by the Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers. Rumours have been plenty, but there doesn't appear to be a clear, undisputed first overall pick in the days leading up to the draft.
Much of the talk have revolved around Barrie Colts bluelinerAaron Ekblad, Kootenay Ice standoutSam Reinhart and Kingston Frontenacs starSam Bennett with Prince Albert Raiders centremanLeon Draisaitlalso being mentioned.
The Bulls have some draft eligible talent entering the weekend. The NHL Central Scouting Service's final draft rankings saw centremanNiki Petti ranked 143rd among North American skaters. Bulls utility manStephen Harper was ranked 166th after spending time at both forward and defence in the latter half of the 2013-14 season.
The Bulls had two players selected in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, withJordan Subban going to the Vancouver Canucks in the fourth round and veteranAlan Quine being a sixth round pick of the New York Islanders.
