Orlando Pride News Release

HARRISON, N.J. - Orlando Pride (2-4-1, 7 points) extended its unbeaten run to three-straight matches on Sunday night, capping off a two-game road trek with a scoreless draw at NJ/NY Gotham FC (4-2-1, 13 points) at Red Bull Arena.

Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse was tasked with just one save on the night, but it was an important one, making an 84th-minute kick save on Yazmeen Ryan to keep the game level. The match marked Moorhouse's second-straight shutout after earning a 1-0 win last week against Racing Louisville FC.

The Pride led the match statistically, holding the home side to just one shot compared to their six on frame. Early in the game, defender Kylie Strom looked to nod in a corner kick from Marta, but her attempt went over the bar, while Kayla Cluff had two long-distance shots that forced Gotham goalkeeper Abby Smith to make difficult saves.

Second-half substitute Ally Watt nearly broke through for Orlando in the second minute of stoppage time, but Smith again came up with a big stop to ensure the split points.

With the start in the game, midfielder Erika Tymrak recorded her 175th appearance across all competitions.

Head Coach Seb Hines:

"Disappointed that we haven't come away with three points, I think all the players feel the same way. It was a complete performance, we were very difficult to play against and, considering they've [Gotham] got some of the best players in the league, I felt the back line, midfielders, forwards...they all worked extremely hard to get a clean sheet tonight. I'm really happy with them. We created a lot of opportunities, as well, it just didn't fall our way but there's a lot of growth in today's game and we're still building that momentum. Now we're just looking forward to the next game because we're starting to gel and get together and connecting a lot better now. So, yeah, overall pleased that performance both felt like we could have won the game, certainly."

Match Notes:

The Pride pushed their unbeaten streak to three-straight games with the draw, with two wins and one tie in their last three matches.
