Pride Finish Weekend Undefeated with 4-0 Win over Flagler College

ORLANDO, Fla. - After posting a 2-1 win at Florida State University yesterday, the Orlando Pride kept the weekend perfect with a 4-0 victory over visiting Flagler College on Sunday afternoon. The Pride saw three different goalscorers in the match, with Taylor Kornieck, Ally Haran and Chelsee Washington all getting on the board. Erin McLeod posted a clean sheet between the posts in her first appearance for the Pride.

Head Coach Marc Skinner unveiled a completely refreshed lineup from Saturday's match at FSU, with forward Abi Kim also earning her first competitive minutes for the Pride as a second-half substitute. Kim entered for Crystal Thomas in the 63rd minute, with all other players playing all 90 minutes.

Orlando notched two goals in each half, with Kornieck getting things started early, heading home a cross from Meggie Dougherty Howard in just the sixth minute. The preseason goal marked Kornieck's first score with the Pride. Ten minutes later, Kornieck came inches from a second after her free kick hit the toe of the goalpost, but Haran was there to clean things up and make it a 2-0 lead.

Washington got two insurance goals in the second half, just three minutes apart in both the 80th and 83rd minutes. The Bowling Green product first came out of the water break quickly, driving down the left side for a solo-effort goal, and was then in the right place at the right time to capitalize on a blocked shot for the 4-0 final.

The Pride continued their trend of creating chances and controlling the midfield, with Kornieck also having additional opportunities to add to the score. Erika Tymrak posed another threat on the Orlando attack, forcing the Flagler goalkeeper in a couple point-blank saves.

The team now has two matches remaining on its preseason schedule, next traveling to face NWSL opponent Washington Spirit in West Palm Beach on March 20. Following an April 10 opener, the Pride will host two Challenge Cup matches at Exploria Stadium, both open to a reduced capacity, on April 14 and April 21.
