Lead Up: Pats Sweep Home and Home 3-2 in Brandon

Manitoban forward Adam Brooks had the answer for Jordan Papirny in Brandon Friday night as the third year forward scored twice. Braden Christoffer scored the Pats' first goal before Brooks tallied his first, only to have Nolan Patrick and Reid Duke answer for the Wheat Kings. Brooks nabbed his second of the contest nine minutes into the third and Daniel Wapple foiled Brandon the rest of the way, making 32 saves overall for the 3-2 win.

Thinking Positive

Going +3 Friday, Kyle Burroughs pushed his league leading plus/minus to +31 on the season. The Pats Captain has been a plus player in every game over the Pats' five game win streak and a minus in only four games this season. Colby Williams (+20) and Braden Christoffer (+19) also sit in the WHL's top ten while Sam Steel's +16 rating is good enough to place him atop the leader board for WHL rookies.

Breakout Season

Adam Brooks continues to impress in his breakout season. The Winnipeg, MB product now has 22 points (12G, 10A) which leaves him just one point away from matching his 115 game total from his first two seasons. Brooks has been finding the back of the net with regularity, tallying 7 times in his last 13 games.

Last Line of Defence

Fresh of his Goalie of the Month nod in November, Daniel Wapple started putting his case together for December against Brandon. The Pats tender turned away 58 of 62 shots (0.935 SV%) and has now won nine straight starts. Wapple is 5th in the WHL with a 2.62 GAA and 7th with a 0.913 SV%.
