Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (12-4-10) kicks off a three-game homestand tomorrow night, facing Bethlehem Steel FC (12-11-6) at 7 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
The final meeting between the two sides this regular season, their previous meeting saw the Hounds prevail 2-1 on the road on Aug. 12. Pittsburgh holds a 3-2-2 edge all-time in head-to-head action and a win on Friday would mark the first season sweep by either side.
Recently completing a two-game road trip that saw the Black and Gold pick up only one of a possible six points, the Hounds will look to translate their recent success at home to keeping pace in the East's top-four. Pittsburgh is currently running a streak of four games unbeaten at Highmark Stadium (2-0-2), allowing only three goals total this season.
Steel FC is expected to present quite the challenge though, as the club has won its past four on the road, outscoring opponents by a 10-to-1 margin.
Off the pitch, the Hounds will be hosting Back to School Night. The first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a bookmark, courtesy of Kidsburgh.
