OKC Energy FC News Release

After convincing home wins against Arizona United SC and LA Galaxy II, OKC Energy FC (9-5-7) travels to Portland, Ore. to face Portland Timbers 2 (8-11-2) this Saturday night in what will be OKC's third game in nine days. Energy FC has not lost since July 1 and, thanks to a four-game streak of draws, is undefeated in its last six matches.

OKC forward Danni Konig is currently the USL co-leader in goals scored and has recorded 11 goals in Energy FC's last 11 games.

Last Tuesday, Peter Toth's first career USL goal and Sebastian Dalgaard's fourth goal of the season led OKC to a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy II that propelled the club into fourth place in the USL's Western Conference. OKC goal keeper Evan Newton recorded a third-straight clean sheet, his sixth of the season.

Saturday's match marks the first trip to Portland in Energy FC franchise history. OKC hosted Portland on June 5 at Taft Stadium, with Kyle Greig netting a pair of goals in Energy FC's 2-0 win.

Timbers 2 enters Saturday's game off a 1-0 win over the Austin Aztex last Saturday in Austin, the club's only win in its last three matches. Kharlton Belmar leads Portland with nine goals and three assists this season, while goal keeper Jake Gleeson has a 6-8-2 record and 1.56 goals-against average starting in 16 of Timbers 2's 21 games.
