Colorado Springs, Colo. (Friday, August 7, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is excited to welcome to the team Atlanta Silverbacks loanee Chris Christian!

Name: Chris Christian

DOB: March 27, 1989

Born In: New York, NY

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 175 lbs

Position: Defender

"I'm excited to take on a new challenge and join up with the Switchbacks," said Chris Christian. "I've heard great things about the club and I'm happy to be a part of the organization."

Christian is joining the Switchbacks immediately, pending USSF approval.

Christian joined the Silverbacks in March of this year. He appeared in two matches in NASL play and scored his only goal against FC Edmonton. He also helped the club win over USL's Charlotte Independence.

Christian also has professional soccer experience in the U.S., Europe and Africa. 2014-2015: Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL) 2012-2013: Motor Lublin, Polish second division 2013-2014: Liberty Professionals, Ghanian Premier League

Known for being a defensive anchor, Christian was a starting center back at Villanova from 2007-2011.
