
Preview: Comets and Milwaukee Face off in Game Two for a Spot in the Final Four

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - Less than forty-eight hours after taking game one at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, the Comets will host the Milwaukee Wave for games two and three (if necessary) on Sunday at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The game, which will kick off at 5:05 p.m. CT will be nationally broadcast on ESPN3.
In case of winning, Coach Vlatko Andonovski's team will move on to the Eastern Conference Championship against the winner of the Baltimore/Syracuse series, which the Blast lead 1-0.
Last night, reigning league MVP Leo Gibson led the Comets as he recorded a season-high six points with five goals and one assist followed by defender John Sosa and midfielder Max Touloute who each totaled three points. In addition, goalkeeper Boris Pardo had 13 saves.
For the sixth consecutive season, Milwaukee and Missouri have met in the playoffs. The Wave eliminated the Comets in 2011 and 2012 but failed to advance in 2013, 2014 and last year. The Comets also lead the All-time regular season series 13-12.
Milwaukee were led offensively by midfielder Ian Bennett, who finished the regular season with 44 points on 37 goals and seven assists. The Canadian has already scored six tallies in four playoff contests tied with teammate Max Ferdinand with four goals and two assists.
On the other hand, team captain Vahid Assadpour finished third overall in the league standings with 50 points on 23 goals and 27 assists.
