Atlético were crowned Canadian Premier League Champions and lifted the North Star Cup at TD Place, in a match that captivated the world through David Rodríguez's 'Icicle Kick' in blizzard-like conditions.
Atlético defeated Forge FC in Hamilton (final score: 2-1) in the 2025 CPL Playoffs Contender Semi-Final thanks to goals by Samuel Salter and Gabriel Antinoro.
Atleti (2nd place, 56 points, 15W-11D-2L) and Forge (1st place, 58 points, 16W-10D-2L) battled it out through the 2025 Regular Season, as both teams broke multiple individual and collective records.
Both teams played in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, losing in the first round to Tigres UNAL and Nashville SC, respectively.
