Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa-Iowans are accustomed to presidential politics impacting all sorts of daily activities in unexpected ways. A campaign stop nearly 700 miles from Waterloo will affect the Black Hawks' game on Sunday afternoon.
President Barack Obama will visit the Covelli Center - home of the Youngstown Phantoms - for a rally on Monday, joined by former President Bill Clinton. Ohio, like Iowa, is a key "swing state" in next month's presidential election.
Waterloo was scheduled to meet the Phantoms at 3PM Central Time on Sunday. The game has been moved ahead to 1PM, in order to accommodate event setup and security preparations at the arena.
