Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC enters its sixth and final week of preseason play with 22 players under contract and an additional number invited on trial.
WEEK 6 PRESEASON ROSTER
This week, Pittsburgh inked former NCAA Division II Player of the Year Thomas Vancaeyezeele to a contract. The University of Charleston product is expected to largely play a holding position in the team's midfield.
The Week Ahead
Riverhounds SC heads into its final match of the preseason with an 8-0 record, as it is scheduled to clash with Villanova University at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium. All matches at Highmark Stadium are free to attend for the public.
Tom Carlin leads Villanova, which recorded a 7-11 overall record while competing as a member of the BIG EAST Conference in 2017.
Last Week
Pittsburgh collected another win in week five with a 3-2 victory against in-state rival Penn FC. Kevin Kerr, Joe Holland and Romeo Parkes notched tallies for the club.
This preseason, Riverhounds SC is outscoring its opponents 20-6 over eight games played.
