Las Vegas Gladiators News Release

Las Vegas- Las Vegas Gladiators get their first victory on the road in Grand Rapids 79-69 against the Rampage. Gladiators WR Kevin Prentiss' nine touchdown receptions was enough to break the previous record of seven, making him the AFL's all-time single-game TD reception leader and Offensive Player of the Game.

QB Shaun King threw for 373 yards and 10 touchdowns, nine of them connecting with Prentiss. King completed 25 of his 33 passes in his second Arena Football game of his career. The only other touchdown reception was by AFL Veteran WR Thabiti Davis in the 2nd quarter. Prentiss finished with 13 receptions for 235 yards and nine touchdowns.

Gladiators defense stepped up to the plate the entire game putting pressure on QB and deflecting numerous passes. DB Earthwind Moreland had clutch interceptions in the 3rd and the 4th quarter that resulted in one of Prentiss' nine touchdown receptions. His performance earned him the Defensive Player of the Game.

Although the Gladiators started off with lead the Rampage quickly fired back and went on top, leading by as many as 15 points in the 2nd quarter. The Gladiators never gave up and came back in the end with a ten-point victory.
