Predators To Honor Pulse Night Club Victims

ORLANDO - The Orlando Predators return to the City Beautiful for the first time since the Pulse tragedy when they host the Tampa Bay Storm this Friday, June 24 at 7:30PM at the Amway Center. The game's events will be dedicated to honoring the memories of the victims while continuing to provide support to the citywide #OrlandoUnited effort.

"We want to honor the memory of those taken from us too soon and the families that have been impacted by this tragedy" said Orlando Predators President Jared Saft. "We also hope to shine a light on the resilience and compassion of our community. Every time we suit up we represent Orlando and we look forward to dedicating the remainder of our season to this city."

Exclusive team memorabilia will be sold and #OrlandoUnited shirts will be available for purchase at the game, with all net proceeds going to the OneOrlando Fund in support of the victims' families. Donations to OneOrlando will also be collected and the Westgate Resorts Foundation has agreed to match 100% of those contributions. In addition, proceeds from the team's 50/50 raffle will be donated to the fundraiser and Clean the World will collect toiletries and soap to be donated to the LGBT Center in Orlando.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and take their seats by 7:10 p.m. for a special tribute to those lost in the tragic events of June 12, which will include a moment of silence and video montage. 5,000 #OrlandoUnited bracelets will also be distributed at the door and a section of seats will be blocked off in the shape of a heart in memory of the victims. The team has also replaced the nameplates on the back of the jerseys with #OrlandoUnited as a symbol of how our community has rallied together."‹

During the game, the franchise will recognize first responders from the City of Orlando, including police, fire, EMT, doctors and nurses, with each of these groups receiving complimentary tickets to the game. Halftime will feature a performance by the Orlando Gay Chorus.
