Predators Release Rights to Pair, Get ECHL Trio

Northern Michigan Predators News Release


The Northern Michigan Predators of the International Independent Hockey League continued making moves today. They dropped a pair and signed three players who are being sent to them by the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

The trio of newcomers includes forward Danial Howard and defensemen Brendan McElroy and Leigh Young. All were at Training Camp this year with the AA-level club, which also directed a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defenseman to the Predators earlier in the week. The big D man is John Watson of Seattle, Washington.

Profiles on Howard, McElroy and Young should be available soon in press releases from the Predators staff.

Predators General Manager Joe Kolodziej also announced today that he and Coach Craig Coxe have decided to release Billy Dallas of Troy, New York and Rocky Florio of Burlington, Ontario have been released. Both are forwards.

Dallas was placed on waivers Friday morning and Florio was placed on waivers Friday afternoon. No details were revealed by Kolodziej on why he dropped the pair from his roster.
