The Bloomington PrairieThunder, battling for its International Hockey League playoff life, treks to Muskegon for a game Friday before returning home to play Kalamazoo on Saturday and then hitting the road again Sunday for a game at Flint.
Bloomington (26-34-3-4) trails Muskegon by 10 points for the fourth and final playoff berth with nine games (maximum 18 points available) remaining. Kalamazoo is eight points ahead of the PrairieThunder in fifth place, while Flint is in third place 11 points in front of Bloomington.
Friday's game at Muskegon (32-29-3-2) begins at 6:30 p.m. with Saturday's game versus Kalamazoo (30-30-2-5) at U.S. Cellular Coliseum starting at 7:05 p.m. and the Sunday game at Flint (29-24-3-9) commencing at 3 p.m. All games can be heard on WTRX (93.7 FM) with Ed Hammond handling the broadcast.
Bloomington's nine remaining games are three with Muskegon (two away, one home); two at home with Kalamazoo; two games at Flint; one away with Port Huron and one home game with Fort Wayne.

The PrairieThunder leads the season series with Muskegon, 6-5-1-0, with a 3-1-1-0 mark on the Fury's ice. Bloomington is 4-8-0-1 against Kalamazoo and Flint.

Don Parsons leads the PrairieThunder in scoring with 30 goals and 34 assists for 64 points. He needs only 25 goals to surpass former Flint coach Kevin Kerr as the all-time goal scoring leader in modern-day minor league hockey.
Parsons leads all active players in goals scored (653) and points (1,258). He ranks 17th overall in points scored. He is second among active players in assists (605) and third in games played (947). The leader among active players is Guy Dupuis of Fort Wayne.
Leo Thomas has scored at least one point in 15 of the last 20 games.
Jon Booras, the team's second leading scorer, has tallied just one point in the last 10 games and hasn't had a goal during that stretch.
Blake Stewart has scored at least one point in eight of his 20 games with the PrairieThunder.
Rookie Loic Lacasse has 15 wins, which breaks the franchise record of 12 set by Jeff Reynaert last season. Fellow net-mender Derek Dolson is one win away from tying Reynaert's mark.
Bloomington has a 16-1-2-2 record when allowing 2 or fewer goals in a game and an 11-2-1-1 record when leading after the first period and a 15-2-0-1 mark when leading after the second period. The team is 19-5-1-1 when scoring first. The PrairieThunder has a 15-15-2-2 record at home this season.
