PrairieThunder acquires defenseman from Muskegon

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - Bloomington PrairieThunder coach Jarrod Skalde announced Tuesday that the team acquired defenseman Geoff Patton for future considerations from the Muskegon Lumberjacks in an International Hockey League transaction.

The 6-foot, 176-pound Patton has two assists in 10 games with the Lumberjacks this season. Patton spent his rookie campaign with the Austin Ice Bats of the CHL, playing 63 games. He had five assists and 92 penalty minutes.

The 23-year-old Lindsay, Ontario native will wear No. 5 with the PrairieThunder. Per team policy, terms of Patton's contract were not released. To make room for Patton on the roster, forward Geoff Rollins was waived.
