Power Quotes:
New York Head Coach Tom Sermanni: "We just never really got going today and did not create alot of chances for ourselves. When we play well, we normally create things, but we never really got going until the 89th minute today."
"Sometimes you miss your key players more than other times, and i think today we really missed that today. Most times you look for that spark that Tiffeny can give a team, and we just didn't have that kind of spark"
"We did not do a good job of playing direct and getting the ball up front right away."
"With the changes in the team personnel and having players that have not been with us for very long out on the field today, we are still trying to find our feet with this and this is the result you get sometimes when you try and do that."
New York's Margaret Tietjen: "The ball was coming across and Pichon got behind me and I heard Carly call 'keeper' so I backed off a bit and turned around to see that the ball was knocked out and my last effort to get my foot in front of it failed."
New York's Carly Smolak: "I don't think it was a breakdown as much as it was a good chance that Philly made for themselves. At some point I really take my hat off to Philly for the game that they played. They were able to keep the ball out of the back of their net and score a couple themselves."
Power Notes:
Road Warrior
Tiffeny Milbrett's last 16 goals have been scored on the road away from Mitchel Athletic Complex. The last home goal for Milbrett came on July 26, 2001 in a 4-2 win over the Boston Breakers.

Power forward Tiffeny Milbrett and defender Christie Pearce will return to the Power lineup, after missing last week's game against the Philadelphia Charge due to National Team duty. With her national side, Milbrett scored her 97th goal and added an assist as the U.S. defeated England 6-0.
Power vs. Freedom
The Power are looking to break a three-game losing streak to Washington. The Power are 0-3-0 at Mitchel Athletic Complex against the Freedom. No games between these two clubs have ended in a tie.
