Power To Host Job Fair And Performer Tryouts

Charleston, WV (February 18, 2008) -The West Virginia Power will conduct their annual Job Fair on Saturday, February 23rd from 10 am - 2 pm in Macy's Court at the Charleston Town Center. Available jobs include all game day positions ranging from ticket takers to concessions to mascots. The Power Alley Grill will also be hiring servers, hosts/hostesses and cooks for the spring and summer months. The Job Fair will provide applicants the opportunity to not only fill out an application but have an on-the-spot interview as well.

"We're looking for dedicated, hardworking individuals who will provide service with a smile," said Joe Payne, Assistant General Manager. "This is a fun atmosphere and we want employees who can have a good time while still working hard."

Immediately following the job fair the Power will host performer tryouts from 2 pm - 4 pm, also in Macy's Court at the Charleston Town Center. Registration will begin at 1 pm. The performer tryouts will give a voice to those wishing to perform at Appalachian Power Park this season. Openings are available for the National Anthem as well as pre-game performances by bands and other musical groups.

"We are really going to enhance what we do from an entertainment standpoint this year and a big part of that is incorporating the talented individuals in the community. Appalachian Power Park is a great atmosphere and we want to give local bands and entertainers an outlet in which to share their talent." stated Kristin Call, Director of Marketing.
