
Power Shock Lightning, Defeat Champs 95-91

(Mississauga, ON -) Nick Okorie had a game high 35 points with six three pointers while Mark Gomilla chipped in with 14 points. The Power held London to 37% shooting for the game, beating the champs 95-91 at home in the Hershey Centre.
The Power started off the first quarter playing well on both ends, scoring 25 points while holding the Lightning to 16 on 33% shooting. Okorie came out of the gate with 13 points.

The two teams exchanged leads multiple times in the fourth leading to a one point Power lead with less than two minutes left in the game. Okorie hit a huge three pointer with 1:15 left in the game to put the Power up by 4. Alex Johnson made a go ahead layup with a foul with 45 seconds left in the game to put the nail in the coffin and seal the 95-91 win for the Power.
"We played hard defense tonight and that ignited our offense," explained Nick Okorie. "I just played my game tonight. I was taking shots in rhythm because the defense was creating easy shots for me. When defense goes well, everything else runs smoothly."
The Power improve to 5-8 with the win. The Power continue a three game home stand on Wednesday night when the Windsor Express roll back into town. Tickets are available at the Hershey Centre or at Ticketmaster.
