Power out in London, Lightning Defeat Power 87-84

(London, ON - ) The Mississauga Power fell to the London Lightning 87-84 in a nail biting matchup. Tyler Murray scored 9 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter while Kirk Williams Jr. led the Power with 17 points.

Morgan Lewis and Murray came off the bench to jump start the Power to a 12-0 run to end the first quarter and the Power were able to take a 46-40 lead heading into the half.

The Lightning came out of halftime on a 12-6 run to tie up the game at 52 and headed to the final frame with a 68-67 lead.

The teams continued to battle in the fourth, exchanging leads throughout the quarter. The Lightning took a one po int lead with 15 seconds left in the game after a fast break Garrett Williamson layup. Nick Okorie was fouled on a layup attempt but missed both free throws. The Lightning took the game 87-84, dropping the Power to 6-9 for the season.

The Power return to the Hershey Centre on Sunday, December 15 for Filipino Cultural Night to raise funds for Typhoon Haiyan relief. Filipino rap star, D-Pryde will be in attendance to perform at halftime. Get your tickets from the Hershey Box Office or Ticketmaster today!
