
Mill Rats Win Third Straight in Moncton Coliseum

(Moncton, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats won their third straight game at the Moncton Coliseum, by beating the Moncton Miracles 118-111.
The Miracles started strong holding an early lead in the first quarter before Saint John closed to within 30-27. At the half the Miracles led by 47-46.
Saint John began to pull away in the fourth as Jermaine Blackburn got rolling and the Mill Rats got three pointers from Anthony Anderson, Chris Matthews, and Tyrone Levett.
The score was 110-106 when Anthony Anderson hit a tough step back jumper to push the margin to a safer 6. Free throws iced the game down the stretch as time ran out on Moncton.
Anderson led Saint John with 34 points on 12-21 shooting, Doug Herring scored 23, Tyrone Levett 21, and Jermaine Blackburn 18. Trayvon Lathan had 25 for Moncton.
With the victory, the Mill Rats improve their record to 9-5 and remain in first place in the Atlantic Division, while Moncton drops to 2-12.
The Mill Rats have a double header this weekend. The "School Spirit" game is on Saturday December 14th 7pm. against the Windsor Express. Sunday, December 15th 4pm the Moncton Miracles are back at the station to face Saint John.
