Power Losing Streak Continues in Windsor

(Windsor, ON - ) The Mississauga Power are now on a 7 game skid after losing in Windsor to the Express tonight. The Power played a strong game against the Express but were outscored late in the fourth quarter to fall 101-91 to the Express. Kirk Williams Jr. led the Power with 21 points and 9 rebounds, Dwight McCombs had 20 points and 15 rebounds while Alex Johnson chipped in with 15 points and 9 assists. Quinnel Brown had an impressive outing for the Express, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

The Power played competitively in the first half, exchanging leads with the Express throughout. The Power took a small 47-46 lead into the second half.

The two teams caught fire in the third quarter, scoring a combined total of 11 three pointers, including 9 in a row. Despite the hot shooting from Alex Johnson and Nick Okorie, the Power entered the final period down four points.

The Power remained in striking distance in the fourth quarter until a late 9-1 run by the Express put the game out of reach for the visitors. The Power have fallen to 7-16 with the loss.

The Power return to the Hershey Centre tomorrow night to play the Ottawa SkyHawks before making a return trip to Windsor for a rematch with the Express on Sunday afternoon.
