
Power Lose Close Game to Mill Rats

(Mississauga, ON - ) The Power played a nail biter back home at the Hershey Centre today, narrowly losing to the Mill Rats, 104-109. Morgan Lewis led the Power with a near triple double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Kirk Williams chipped in with 19 points while Alex Johnson had 17 points with 12 assists. Newcomer George Williams added 17 points in his Power debut. The Mill Rats were fueled by Anthony Anderson and Raheem Singleton's 34 and 33 points respectively.
The Power came out of the gate strong, building up an 20-11 lead late in the first. The Power remained firmly in control of the first quarter, holding to a seven point lead after one quarter. The Mill Rats renewed focus in the second, going on a 13-1 run to take a three point lead heading into halftime.
The teams exchanged blows in the third quarter, with the Power edging the Mill Rats by three points in the quarter to tie the game heading into the final quarter. It looked to be anyone's game heading into the final quarter and the two teams did not disappoint. In a fourth quarter with three ties and four lead changes, the Mill Rats managed to pull out a late victory by going on a 10-4 run with just two minutes left in the game.
The Power head on a three game road trip before returning home on February 20th to take on the Windsor Express.
