(LONDON, Ontario) - Tonight, in front of 2,815 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning were defeated by the Windsor Express, 107-100.

Leading the team in scoring this evening was newcomer Jermaine Johnson with 22 points. He also added six rebounds.

"I think our team is great. We have come together at the perfect time. We have a month to gel together to make the perfect playoff run." said Jermaine Johnson.

"Windsor has two of the best guards in the league, and our plan tomorrow is to stop them. Our emphasis is controlling their drives and contesting their shots".

Stephen McDowell added 19 points, while Dwight McCombs chipped in 13 points in his London debut. Elvin Mims had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lightning will head to Windsor tomorrow to play the second game of this back-to-back series at the WFCU Centre. The Lightning's next home game is on Thursday, February 13, at Budweiser Gardens where the Lightning host the Ottawa Skyhawks. Tip-off is at 7pm.
