Mill Rats Flip the Switch on the Power

(Mississauga, ON): The Saint John Mill Rats claim victory over the Power in the second of three road games in Mississauga today, winning 109-104.

The Power started off strong with a 20-11 lead late in the first. They managed to hold on to a seven point lead in the first quarter. The Mill Rats flipped the switch in the second going on a 13-1 run to take a three point lead heading into halftime.

The teams went back and forth for the third quarter, with the Power closing in on the Mill Rats by three points to tie the game heading into the final quarter. The fourth proved to be a nailbiter with three ties and four lead changes. Saint John went on a 10-4 run with just two minutes left in the game to claim the win.

Anthony Anderson led the Mill Rats with 34 points, Raheem Singleton for 33, and Jermain Blackburn with 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 17 points. Morgan Lewis led the Power with 22 points.

The Mill Rats improve to 19-12 on the season while the Power drop 9-25.

Saint John face the Brampton A's tomorrow at the Powerade Centre. They return to Harbour Station on Monday February 10th at 7PM for a makeup game against the Moncton Miracles.
