Power Games Broadcast on the Web

New York, NY - The New York Power have announced that selected home and away games will be broadcast live over the internet through the Power web site (www.nypower.com). To access the New York Power radio, click on the "Radio Broadcast" link, inside the "Next Home Game" boxed section that appears near the top of the home page. To link to the online stream, your computer would need Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. The game broadcast begins approximately 10 minutes before kick off.

Ray Martel and Dave Bunzel, both from WFAN Sportsradio 660, will be announcing the games. Martel is the producer of the Joe Benigno show. Bunzel is currently the Assistant News Editor at WFAN Sportsradio and on the "Imus in the Morning" show.

Tomorrow's game against the San Jose CyberRays can be heard live over the internet. On June 8, the New York Power shutout the CyberRays, 2-0, in San Jose. New York's offense will rely on rookie forward Christie Welsh, as veteran forward Tiffeny Milbrett will be away on U.S. National Team duty. Welsh and Milbrett are tied for the most points for the Power this season, with 8 points a piece. Defender Christie Pearce will also be away with the U.S. National Team.

Aside from the live broadcast, the New York Power Radio site will post broadcast schedules, as well as feature audio highlights from the games.

The New York Power is one of eight professional women's soccer teams that make up the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA), the world's premier women's soccer league. 2003 New York Power tickets remain the same price as last season ($25, $20, $17) and the addition of a $10 ticket with the use of a 10-ticket voucher "Power Pack".
