
Power Fall to A's 98-92

(Brampton, ON -) The Peel rivalry continued tonight as the Mississauga Power travelled across the city to face the Brampton A's in their home opener.
The Power got off to a fast start leading 27-18 after the first quarter but the A's came back on a 9-3 run in the second quarter. The Power took a 48-42 lead at the half with Dwight McCombs contributing 9 points and 9 rebounds.
The Power brought high energy hoops in the third quarter, sprinting to a quick 60-50 lead but Brampton stormed back quickly to take a 69-65 lead heading into the final quarter. The Power fell 98-92. McCombs explains, "We started off great, had a good first quarter. The third quarter is what really killed us. We'll take this one game at a time, it's a long weekend as we're off to play Ottawa tomorrow. I'll always be there to provide rebounds, defense and blocks when needed." McCombs finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Power while William "Bo" Harris chipped in with 13 points and 8 rebounds. The A's were led by Evaldas Zabas who tallied 23 points and 5 rebounds.
The Power have two games remaining on a 3 game road trip. The team plays in Ottawa tomorrow before heading to London on November 17th.
