Post-game jersey auction highlights U.S. Army Birthday Celebration

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 announced today the team will wear specially designed Army camouflage jerseys when they return to U.S. Army Field at Times Union Center Friday, June 15 for a 7 p.m. kick-off against the Cincinnati Jungle Kats. The jerseys will be auctioned off to fans following the game with all proceeds to benefit the USO of Metropolitan New York.
The jersey auction will begin approximately 10 minutes after the game. The fan with the winning bid on each jersey will be invited on to the field to receive it from the Conquest player who wore it during the game.
The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a pre-game block party presented by 104.9 The Edge featuring live music from 10-Year-Vamp, with games, prizes and more! The U.S. Army Birthday Celebration includes a pre-game fireworks show by Alonzo, a special U.S. Army birthday cake, an American mini-flag giveaway along with a free U.S. Army/Conquest camouflage hat to the first 1,000 fans through the doors.
The U.S. Army halftime extravaganza will feature the Hinder Truck giveaway with one lucky fan driving off with a tricked out 4X4 truck courtesy of South Point Auto and 104.9 The Edge. The USO of Metropolitan New York will add to the halftime festivities with a live performance from their touring troupe.
The USO of Metropolitan New York is responsible for providing programs and services to military personnel and their families in the tri-state area, including Upstate New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. USO is a non-profit, non-governmental organization supported entirely through the generosity of private individuals, corporation and associations with both monetary and in-kind contributions. They do not receive any funding for USO World Headquarters. Serving those who serve and their families is the USO way.
The U.S. Army's Albany, New York Recruiting Battalion encompasses 38,760 stateside square miles. It includes the 27 northeastern counties of New York, the five westernmost counties in Massachusetts, the states of Vermont and Connecticut, the two northernmost counties in New Jersey and responsibility for the Army's recruiting mission in Europe, northern Africa, and the Middle East. Established in December 1972, Albany Battalion's mission is to provide active Army and Army Reserve enlistees for our nation's defense.
