The team won their season opener at the Portland Rose Garden on Sunday March 12th against the Vancouver Volcano's 109-99 in front of a hometown crowd estimate at over 5,400 people.
The following is a quote from the team's owner, Terry W. Emmert. "The attendance at the game showed tremendous support of the community. We want this team to be a team of the community. Our players show good conduct and good sportsmanship on and off the court. They contribute to the community by living and working in the community, by being accessible and helping youth groups."
