Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach, John Gibson, announced today that forward Tim Plett has been called to Memphis of the CHL and the team has filled his roster spot with Brandon Doria.

"I think Memphis and Plett will be a good fit for one another," Gibson said. "They are looking for a spark in their lineup and Tim can give them that. He goes out and crashes and bangs and chips in when needed. We wish him all the luck."

Plett played in all 28 games for the Havoc this season. He scored seven goals and had five assists. He also had 27 penalty minutes. He will join Memphis in time for their game Friday night in Lubbock.

Doria played in nine games for the Wheeling Nailers, four for the Toledo Storm, and 48 for the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL during the 2003-04 season. He played in a total of 51 games and scored five goals and had 12 assists for 17 total points. He also had 30 penalty minutes. He played in 136 career games from 1999-2003 at Holy Cross College where he scored 53 goals and had 86 assists for 139 total points. He was a three-year teammate of Jeff Dams. He is originally from Bayonne, New Jersey.

"I was pleasantly surprised when I saw his resume come across the fax machine," Gibson said. Noticing that he had played with Dams and being able to have that immediate reference made it an easy decision to follow up on it and bring him in. I look for him to add to our lineup in an offensive way."

The Havoc will host Winston-Salem Thursday and Knoxville on Friday night. The puck drops at 7:30 both nights.
