Playoffs Start Wednesday Night as Saints Host Muskegon

DUBUQUE, Iowa- The Dubuque Fighting Saints have know they'll be the top seed in the Eastern Conference for the 2013 Clark Cup Playoffs for a while now, and after watching their potential first round opponents battle for playoff position the last few weeks, the fourth-seeded team has been determined. The Fighting Saints will battle with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals beginning Wednesday, April 17 with a 7:05 p.m. faceoff for Game 1 at the Mystique Community Ice Center. Tickets for all home games in the Conference Semifinals are on sale now at DubuqueFightingSaints.com.

The Fighting Saints will host Games 1 and 2 in Dubuque and if necessarily, Game 5 at home as well in the best-of-five series. As the Anderson Cup Champions, the Fighting Saints will have home ice advantage throughout the 2013 Clark Cup Playoffs.

Game 1 on Wednesday night will feature a Rally Towel Giveaway to the first 1,500 fans courtesy of the Riverview Center. Game 2 will be held Friday, April 19 at 7:35 p.m. at the Mystique Community Ice Center. The first 1,000 fans receive Playoff T-Shirts courtesy of Dubuque Fire Equipment.

The series will then shift to Muskegon for Game 3, and if necessary, Game 4 as well. Game 3 will be played Sunday, April 21 at the L.C. Walker Arena, and Game 4 is slated for Monday, April 22.

If necessary, the deciding Game 5 would be played in Dubuque at the Mystique Community Ice Center on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets to all home Conference Semifinal games versus Muskegon are available now at DubuqueFightingSaints.com. Tickets are also available to purchase for home games in the Eastern Conference Finals and Clark Cup Final. Fans who purchase tickets to any game in the 2013 Clark Cup Playoffs that is not played will be refunded.

On Monday and throughout next week, the Mystique Community Ice Center box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person or over the phone by calling 563.583.6880. Fans who have purchased "Pay as We Play," packages for the 2013 Clark Cup Playoffs can pick up their tickets starting Monday at the team offices at the Mystique Community Ice Center. Any "Pay as We Play," packages not picked up in advance will be available at Will Call at Wednesday night's Game 1.

The Fighting Saints went 6-1-0 versus Muskegon this past season including posting a perfect 4-0-0 record at home.
