Waterloo, Iowa- Entering the final weekend of the United States Hockey League regular season, the Waterloo Black Hawks know that they will face either the Sioux Falls Stampede or Sioux City Musketeers during the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs.
The home and away dates for the best-of-five series have now been set for either circumstance:
If the Black Hawks face the Sioux Falls Stampede:
Game One Friday April 11th Young Arena 7:05 p.m.
Game Two Saturday April 12th Young Arena 7:05 p.m.
Game Three Thursday April 17th Sioux Falls Arena 7:05 p.m.
Game Four Friday April 18th Sioux Falls Arena 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Game Five Tuesday April 22nd Young Arena 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
If the series is between the Black Hawks and the Sioux City Musketeers:
Game One Friday April 11th Young Arena 7:05 p.m.
Game Two Saturday April 12th Young Arena 7:05 p.m.
Game Three Friday April 18th Tyson Events Center 7:05 p.m.
Game Four Saturday April 19th Tyson Events Center 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Game Five Tuesday April 22nd Young Arena 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
The Hawks' playoff opponent will be firmly determined by the conclusion of league play this Saturday evening.
Should the Western Conference Champion Black Hawks advance from the first playoff round, Waterloo would also have home ice advantage during the second round, with the specific opponent and game dates for that series to be announced at a later time.
Tickets for first round Games One and Two at Young Arena will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, April 2nd) at noon. They will be available from the Waterloo Black Hawks' front office at Young Arena, online from waterlooblackhawks.com, or by calling the Domino's Black Hawks Box Office at (319) 291-7680. If necessary, tickets for Game Five will be made available after the first four games of the series have been completed.
Seats are also still available for the regular season finale against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The game is likely to determine whether Waterloo will claim the Anderson Cup as the USHL's regular season champion. Currently the Hawks lead the Indiana Ice by two points for that prestigious trophy.
