Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

Logan Lambdin earned his spot on the 2013-14 Port Huron Fighting Falcons through his great play during the team's off-season tryout camps.

The forward, who celebratedhis 18th birthday earlier this month, has had a great start to his first season of junior hockey. His 14 points on seven goals and seven assists is the highest mark among Fighting Falcons newcomers, and he is one of two newcomers to have appeared in each of Port Huron's 19games this season.

Though he started the season in a room full of unfamiliar faces, Lambdin has quickly found his role with the team, and has been a big part of the first-place Fighting Falcons' early success.

"The chemistry among the guys on this team has been great since training camp, and there's no doubt that the fact that we all get along so well off the ice is a huge part of what's made us great together this season," the Carleton, Michigan native said.

"This team is a family, and it's made the transition to the junior game a lot easier than it could have been," he added.

Lambdin played for Belle Tire's U18 team last season, where he tallied 29 points on 12 goals and 17 assists in 40 games.

Lambdin dreams of playing professional hockey one day, but with two years of junior eligibility remaining, he's focused on performing his best in the NAHL.

"Lamby" first laced up his skates at age four, and his hard work has brought him to a team that excels in moving their players up to the next level.

He says that the biggest difference playing at this level has been the amount of travel involved, and the team's commitment to being active in the community.

Lambdin and the rest of the Fighting Falcons have a long trip ahead of them this weekend, as they travel to Janesville, Wisconsin for their first series of the season against the Jets.

The team returns to home ice November 30 when they host the Springfield Jr. Blues for "Retro Weekend."
