The game between the Pittsfield Suns (6-5) and the Pittsfield Suns went into extra innings, but when the last out was recorded the Pittsfield Suns emerged with a 6-4 victory.
With the score tied at four, Colin Gimblet came to the plate and homered, scoring Eric Hamilton.
Hamilton racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the tenth inning.
Fernando Burgos had an impressive outing against the Pittsfield Suns' lineup. Burgos held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Declan Cronin improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. Cronin struck out three, walked three and gave up two hits.
Dalton Rice (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
