
Pittsfield Colonials To Hold Player Tryout

Pittsfield, Mass. - The Pittsfield Colonials professional baseball club of the Can-Am League announced on Thursday the details of the club's player tryout, to be held on Saturday, May 8 at Wahconah Park. The rain date for the event is Sunday, May 9.
The tryout will start at 10 a.m. and is open to all potential players age 18 or over. Players are requested to bring their own gloves, baseball shoes, workout gear and catcher's equipment. Baseballs, wood bats and some catcher's equipment will be provided.
Registration can be taken by calling the Colonials at 413-236-2961, e-mailing *amanda@pittsfieldcolonials.com*, in person at the team office at 2 South Street in Pittsfield, or at Wahconah Park the day of the camp, starting at 9 a.m. The cost is $40 per person payable by check or cash at the tryout.
"Our goal from this tryout is to sign and/or invite one local player to our spring training," said Colonials' manager *Brian Daubach*.
The Colonials' spring training will take place at Wahconah Park from May 15 to 25. The club's regular season starts May 27 in Quebec, while the team's home opener is May 31 against New Jersey at 3:00 PM.
