Pittburgh Xplosion support St. Margaret's Fall Face-Off

PITTSBURGH, October 9, 2006 - The Pittburgh Xplosion will be among the organizations on hand to support the St. Margaret's Foundation "Fall Face-Off" hockey tournament on October 9 - 12 at BladeRunners Ice Complex in Harmarville, Pa.

Explosion players and coaches will be available to sign autographs and discuss the upcoming season at the opening day of the 16-team event. Proceeds from the "Fall Face-Off" will be used to buy automated external defibrillators (AEDs), portable electronic devices that can shock a heart back into its normal rhythm, which will be donated to local police departments, senior citizen centers, schools and churches.

The Pittsburgh Xplosion opens its inaugural season in the Continental Basketball Association on Friday, December 1 at Albany. The team's first home game will be played at Mellon Arena on Wednesday, December 6 versus Vancouver. Season ticket packages start at $125.
