
Pitching Comes Alive; Flyers Take Finale in Fargo

The Schaumburg Flyers won the third game of the series againt the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon in front of 3,670 in a time of 2 hours and 57 minutes.
Kenny Durost had a great outing earning his first win of the year as he pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hits, and only 1 run. Flyers batters gave Durost the lead early, getting two runs in the top of the first inning on Eric Cole's two run double down the left field line. The score was 2-0 until the fourth inning when the Flyers added on another run as Josue Lopez came around to score after doubling to lead off the inning.
Up 3-0, the Flyers pulled Durost and replaced him with Chris Andel. Andel would throw 1 2/3 innings, giving up two hits and one run until being replaced by Dan Jackson in the bottom of the ninth inning. With the score 5-2, Jackson would face four batters in the ninth, striking out two of them and come away with his fourth save of the year.
The Flyers put an end to their three game skid and are now headed back to Schaumburg with another win under their belts to face the Joliet JackHammers in a four game series at Alexian Field. The first game of the series is at 7:05 tomorrow night, the first 2500 fans will recieve a Rally Towel curtesy of CDM Promotions.
