Miami Majesty News Release

Sunrise, FL. The ABA Florida Pit Bulls opened a five-game road trip to the southeast US by winning 2 of 3 games during a recently concluded series in Atlanta versus the Vision. Florida took the opener on the heels of a team record scoring performance by Marcus Barnes. The former Northeastern star tallied 39 points in the 99-91 victory. Terence Shelman and Anthony Slater added a pair of double-doubles with Shelman contributing 11 points and 11 rebounds and Slater with 10 points and 10 assists.

Next, the Vision made amends with a 97-88 victory over Florida despite 21 points and 10 rebounds by Delvin Thomas and 16 and 12 from Rodrigue Djahu. In the finale of the series, the Pit Bulls returned to their winning ways with a 93-79 thumping of Atlanta as Marcus Barnes again starred with 22 points and was helped along by Delvin Thomas' 17.

"I was proud of the great effort from our ball club having played 4 games in 4 days and traveling all night to get to the first game," stated Pit Bulls owner and President Demetrius Ford. "The team was pretty fatigued by the trip but showed resilience and dug deep. Also, we found out when we arrived in Atlanta that the Vision team that we beat by over 40 points the previous week had improved by adding three very tough and talented players to their roster. Despite all the obstacles, we showed true toughness."

Florida plays two more games on the road this week. For more information, contact Tony Calatayud at 305 781 5901 or visit www.floridapitbulls.com or www.abalive.com.
