ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Pirates of the Indoor Football League have signed offensive lineman Jeremiah Crawford for the 2026 season. Crawford made a name for himself at the University of Tennessee before being signed to the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent.
Crawford had to earn everything that came his way. The Goddard High Schooler began his career at Junior College with the Butler CC Grizzlies. He played both offensive and defensive tackle for the team en route to being ranked the No. 3 JuCo OT in the nation.
Tennessee took note of what he was doing and Crawford joined the Volunteers in the 2021 season. As a junior he appeared in 10 games though he didn't make a start until his senior season. Regardless, he played 135 offensive snaps at left and right tackle and didn't allow a sack or commit a penalty in his first taste of SEC action.
An all-around impressive performance in the 2021 TransPerfect Music City Bowl paved the way for Crawford to make six starts at left tackle in his senior season. Most impressively, the 6'6'' 330-pound OT didn't allow a sack in none of the 10 games he played. The Volunteers offensive line showed out in 2022 as Crawford was part of an O-Line that was a Joe Moore Award semifinalist for the first time in school history.
The Kansas native ended his collegiate career in 2023 with three starts at right tackle and three at left tackle. He allowed just two sacks in 393 offensive snaps which is something the Panthers took note of. Even though Crawford wasn't drafted, he was able to enjoy a short stint on an NFL team as an UDFA.
