Pioneers Second Tryout A Success

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers recently held their second open tryout for the upcoming 2006 af2 season. On Saturday, February 4, 2006 from 9:00am to 1:00pm the tryouts were held at the River Front Sports Complex, in Scranton PA.
The Pioneers exceeded all expectation for the tryouts when about 70 prospects attend the open workout. The Pioneers coaching staff was very pleased with the number of talented individuals they had the opportunity to evaluate. The Pioneers were looking for players to add to their training camp roster.
"There was more talent at this tryout that I have seen in many years." said Head Coach Rich Ingold, "We look forward to seeing many of these players being part of the 2006 Pioneers."
