Pioneers Assigned Quarterback for 2005

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are proud to announce the assignment of Robert Findora to their roster for the 2005 season by the af2 league office.

Findora, a native of Downingtown, PA, played for Coatesville High School and continued his football career at West Chester University.

While playing for the Golden Rams, Findora earned team captain honors his senior year. Robert played in 44 games for West Chester, throwing 1,098 passes for 594 completions, a 54% pass percentage. He threw a total of 9,326 yards, averaging 212 yards a game, while rushing for 288 yards during his career at WCU.

"We saw Robert on film and knew he was a quality player," said Pioneers Head Coach Les Moss. "He came out to our tryout camp and really surprised us with how quickly he picked up the indoor game. We are excited to have him here competing for the quarterback spot."

The Pioneers will be holding two more free-agent tryouts camps. The tryout dates will be Saturday, February 19th, registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. and tryouts will run from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.; and Saturday, March 5th, registration will begin at 1:00 p.m. and tryouts will run from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Both camps will be held at Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton, PA.
