Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce the activities planned for this Saturday's 9th Annual Pink Ice Game presented by WWMT, The CW 7 and WKFR versus the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30 p.m.

Customary with the K-Wings' Pink Ice Game, the K-Wings will host the largest wedding in Southwest Michigan. Tying the knot this year will be Chrystal Compton and Corey Fowler of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Besides receiving the largest wedding in Kalamazoo, the couple will receive a night's stay at the Radisson, flowers for the wedding courtesy of Meijer and Heirloom Rose and a wedding cake by Boonzaaijer Bakery.

Saturday's contest will also be the 1,000th professional game in the career of K-Wings' Equipment Manager, Eric Bechtol.

Bechtol, who's in his fourth season with the K-Wings, spent nine seasons with the St. Louis Blues as its Assistant Equipment Manager. Besides working with the Blues, Bechtol has also worked in the Central Hockey League with Fort Worth Fire, which was coached by former K-Wings Head Coach Bill McDonald.

During the game, fans can post a Valentine's Day message on the scoreboard to their special person (i.e.: Happy Valentine's Day To: Slappy, From: The K-Wings). Messages are $5 and can be purchased at the Meijer Guest Relations Booth, located behind Section 30.

Following the contest fans will have the opportunity skate on the pink ice. Admission for the public skate is $5; skate rental if needed is an additional $3.

Single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2008-09 home schedule are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Tickets range from $9.90-$14.90. Prices for K-Wings games will increase $1 for premium game nights (Pink Ice and Green Ice).
