Kitchener Rangers News Release
Francesco Pinelli has been announced as a Community Champion for Family & Children Services of Waterloo Region Foundation (FACS Foundation).
Pinelli, in his second year with the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club, believes that his involvement with FACS Foundation will "make a difference in the local community," and he "would like to use this platform to help people see the importance of supporting families and children who are in need."
Family & Children's Services Waterloo Region and its Foundation are committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. Support from the community has provided prevention-focused programs and services that keep kids safe and keep them where they belong...with their families.
While prevention programs remain underfunded by the government, they are in high demand because they work.
Pinelli continues by saying that FACS Foundation "is essential because it raises awareness in the community to demonstrate the need to help children, youth, and families, to keep them together. FACS Foundation also strives to support children and their parents build resilience, including by building relationships with families and their community, which is so important."
Family and Children's Services Foundation help make magic happen every day. This year, the CHYM Tree of Hope Radiothon goes virtual, Thursday, December 3rd, supporting Family and Children's Services of Waterloo Region.
