Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (March 10, 2014) - There's no need to be intimidated about organizing a picnic at the ballpark for your company, organization or family and friends. That's because the Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, make the entire process easy from start to finish. Picnics and other group outings are available for the 2014 season, and fans are able to reserved their dates immediately for any of the Intimidators' 70 home games at CMC-NorthEast Stadium by calling the F&M Bank Box Office at (704) 932-3267.
All-You-Can-Eat Picnics are available to any group of 20 or more and includes reserved-seat tickets, access to the ballpark picnic shelters, and all-you-can-eat ballpark fare - such as burgers and hot dogs, grilled chicken or BBQ with a choice of two sides - for 90 minutes. Picnics also include complimentary water, tea and lemonade. The entire picnic package is only $19 per person and $16 for children (4-12). Additional beverage and dessert options are also available.
In lieu of a picnic, groups aiming to appease appetites can also purchase food vouchers - for a hot dog, chips and a drink - along with their tickets for guests for only $5. Groups interested in additional menu options can purchase "Ballpark Bucks" for their guests to select their individual dining options while at CMC-NorthEast Stadium.
Group tickets to Intimidators games start at only $5 for General Admission seats for groups of 20 or more and include recognition on the scoreboard as well as over the public address during the game. Groups of 100 or more are entitled to additional perks such as a ceremonial first pitch.
The Intimidators are preparing for the 20th season of professional baseball in Kannapolis and 14th as a Chicago White Sox affiliate. Opening Night of the 2014 season is Thursday, April 3, against the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox) at 7:05 p.m. Since the team came to town in 1995, a total of 77 players have gone from Kannapolis to the Major Leagues, including 2007 NL MVP Jimmy Rollins and former NFL standout and 1998 Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams. Season tickets, mini-plans and single-game seats are currently available by calling the F&M Bank Box Office at (704) 932-3267 or by visiting the team website at www.IntimidatorsBaseball.com.
