(Fort Wayne, IN) - The people of Fort Wayne are invited to get revenge on ants everywhere for past picnics gone awry! On Tuesday, July 10th, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants cordially invite the public to their offices to walk away with their picnic food. We will have hot dogs, cookies, drinks, and - oh yeah - tickets! Don't miss out on this opportunity to get to know your new NBA D-League team.
Mad Ants fans can meet Head Coach Kent Davison, President Jeff Potter, team staff, as well as NBA executives. While visiting the open house, fans can also purchase season tickets for the 2007 inaugural campaign at early-bird prices. Plus, they'll have the chance to pick up some of the first Mad Ants merchandise available. Baseball hats and posters with the brand new Mad Ants logo will be on hand during the open house. Now entering its seventh season, the NBA Development League will bring to Fort Wayne future NBA stars and some of the best young talent playing the game today. The D-League currently includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders (Calif.), Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.). In addition to the new Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the D-League has already announced expansion teams for the 2007-2008 season for Des Moines, IA; the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas; and Orem, Utah (the Utah Flash).
