Phoenix Rising Midfielder Solomon Asante Named to USL Team of the Week

PHOENIX - Phoenix Rising midfielder Solomon Asante was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 11 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today. Teammate Kevon Lambert was also recognized by the league, earning an honorable mention nod.
Asante scored a goal, notched an assist, and created four chances in Phoenix Rising's 4-0 win over Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday night. Lambert also scored a goal in the win in addition to his six tackles, five interceptions, and two clearances.
This is the seventh week this season a Rising FC player has been recognized by the league and the second time Asante has been named to the Team of the Week. This is also the second time this season two players have been recognized by the league in one week.
Asante, Lambert, and the rest of the squad return to league play this Saturday, May 25, on the road against Real Monarchs SLC. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. The club will be hosting two official watch parties; one at R.T. O'Sullivans in Scottsdale and the other at Vine Tavern and Eatery in Tempe, off Elliot Road.
