3 Things to Know About Wednesday's Nashville SC Match against Birmingham Legion FC

May 21, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - Nashville SC News Release

NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club is traveling down I-65 to take on Birmingham Legion FC in the first of four consecutive USL Championship matches on the road this Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at BBVA Compass Field in Birmingham. Here are three things that Nashville SC fans need to know going into the road match.

1) National Television - For the second time this month, Nashville SC will be featured on national television, as this match will be televised on ESPNews. Nashville's home match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies earlier in May was featured on ESPN2. This will be Nashville's first-ever road match on national television.

2) Not Far From Home - Wednesday's match will be one of Nashville's closest road matches of the season, taking place less than 200 miles from Music City. The Boys in Gold will take just a three-hour drive down I-65 to Birmingham for the match, and the short trip is a great one to make for fans looking to catch a Nashville match away from home.

3) Watch Party at Von Elrod's - Interested in watching the match with other Nashville SC fans? There will be an official Nashville SC watch party at Von Elrod's in Germantown, featuring plenty of TVs showing the match and giveaways. The party will start at 6:30 p.m. ahead of kickoff at 7:00 p.m., and Nashville SC staff members will be on hand to give away merchandise, goodies and two tickets to an upcoming match.

Catch the match on ESPNews or the WatchESPN app on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Fans can also tune in on the radio on 94.9 Game 2. If you can't watch or listen, be sure to follow along with the official Nashville SC channels on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for up-to-the-minute coverage, insights, highlights, and analysis.
