Philadelphia Wings Launch Training Camp Schedule

The Philadelphia Wings, of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), will begin preparations for the upcoming 2014 NLL season during a three day training camp held at BucksMont Indoor Sports Center in Hatfield, PA from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24.

Four different practice sessions will be held over the three day period. All sessions are open to the public. Practice times are as follows: Friday, November 22 at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 23 at 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 24 at 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

"We are eager to take another step towards the regular season and have the opportunity to take a look at our full squad as they practice together," said Wings Head Coach Blane Harrison. "The coaches are looking forward to a competitive camp. We have a number of younger players looking to come in and make a statement about winning a spot on our club."

The Wings play three exhibition scrimmages before the start of the regular season, beginning when they face-off against the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, December 7, 12 p.m. and Sunday, December 8, 10 a.m. at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY. The final tune-up takes place when the Wings visit the Toronto Rock on Saturday, December 21, 7 p.m. at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, ON, Canada.

With the passing of the new CBA, teams are now permitted to carry a 20-man roster, and up to four practice players. All nine NLL teams will be required to submit their final 20-man rosters by Monday, December 16. Last year, teams could field a 23-man roster and up to three practice players.

Fans can catch their first glimpse of the 2014 Philadelphia Wings team at home when they host the Buffalo Bandits at Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, January 12, at 4 p.m.
