
Philadelphia Barrage Claim Chaddsford, PA Native Josh Bergey Off Waivers

Villanova, PA (May 6, 2004) - The Philadelphia Barrage announced today that they have claimed Attackman Josh Bergey from the Major League Lacrosse Waiver Wire. Bergey spent the past two weeks with the Boston Cannons before being released on Wednesday. The Chaddsford, PA, native will workout with the team on Saturday as the Barrage face the MAB-Philadelphia Men's Lacrosse Team at 2:00 pm at Villanova Stadium. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
Bergey graduated in 2003 from Salisbury University where he helped lead the Sea Gulls to the 2003 Division III National Championship. He led all Salisbury scorers in 2003 with 120 points (72g, 48a) while starting all 20 games of the season. Josh is tied with his brother Jake for third all-time in career points at Salisbury with 237.
